Cub Scouts

About Cubs

Cub Scouts take part in a programme packed with fun, surprises and most importantly of all adventure!

There are loads of exciting things that Cub Scouts aged eight to ten and a half do. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences. They get a chance to try lots of different activities like exploring, swimming, music, computing and collecting. Badges to be worn on their uniform can be gained by doing these activities well.

Cubs also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, a theme park or even a farm. Sometimes they go camping with the rest of their Cub Scout Pack, sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½. There is flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 7½ , and can move to Scouts any time between the ages of 10 and 11.
