Speak to your Local Training Manager about Getting Started, training for your specific appointment, and about ongoing learning opportunities.

You should also speak to them if you haven’t been assigned a Training Advisor to support you with your Personal Learning Plan and validations.

Modules | Scouts

Please don’t feel phased by the number of modules; Scouting provides you with the tools and tips to help you on your volunteer journey and to ensure you feel supported and happy in your role. The learning builds on your existing skills and knowledge and means that you could be validated for talents and expertise you already have and bring to Scouting role.

Think of it as:

Learning, Optional, Validation, Essential.

Please check the Training Calendar on the Norfolk Scouts website for forthcoming learning opportunities, it will be updated regularly as details are available.

You may have heard some details about the changes to Leadership Training however the Scout Association is still working on the details and testing out the learning opportunities to make sure they are fit for purpose, accessible and effectively cover the learning needed to support you in your role. Until we know more about how learning opportunities fit into Transformation it is “business as usual” and Norfolk Scouts will support you in the best way we can.
